Somewhere, deep in the forest, far from the world of technology and concrete, is a society built on hope in the dark. Under the trees rests homes full of loving animals. Every creature in this forest is searching. A light, a friend, a lover, a reason to continue. 

A way to become human.

It’s said that one day many, many years ago there was a blaze, and the forest burnt to a crisp. The dragons shed their tears, crystalline woes - their crime had the perfect punishment. They lost their wings, and doomed the forest to dark ash.

Then the haloed ones arrived, planted their seeds. The forest regrew. And in their crushed dreams and dreams, the animals grew a new desire.

One day, they decided, the world will be right again. The birds will sing, the sky will clear, the fears of doom will dissipate.

One day they will know what it’s like to be human.

Wildheart is a Table Top Role Playing Game. It’s about animals between the realm of ferality and humanization, who search for the Dragon’s Tear- the surefire way to finally become human.

In game terms, this TTRPG focuses on story. Battles are highly deadly, and while magic exists, it's unwieldy and oftentimes dangerous.

This game is about humanity. It's about finding community, passion, motivation to go on. It's about the universe and how we are a part of it. It's about the people who love and hate you. It's about transformation, changing day by day into something new.  Most of all, it's about little creatures trying to make it work with what they've been given. Love what you're doing, and everything will fall into place.

The Game is:

• For 1 Host (usually) and 1-5 Players (Give or take)
• For storytellers and players who want to build a narrative
• For queer and neurodivergent folk especially
• For fans of animals

This Beta includes:

• Rules on how to play the game
• 12 distinct Species you can play, from Fox people to Living Dolls to Soulless Birds
• 30 unique abilities to mix and match
• 16 Archetypal Story frameworks you can use to build your own narrative
• 8 Transformations, ways to change how your character moves through the world 
• 9 locations with varying stages of progress and completeness

• The game is very much a work in progress. Things are subject to change, and some details aren't filled out.
